Labor Day 2010

Hello friends! Long time, no blog...I know I know. I feel like this year has flown by too quickly and can NOT believe its already September. I'm super pumped for the next few months of football, tailgates, pumpkins, chili and before I know it my nephew will be here!

For the past couple labor day weekends, I've made the trip to Denver to visit my sister and brother in law. Denver is truly my home away from home and I'm so lucky to have made friends through my sister and her hubby that I look forward to seeing each time I'm in town. While I normally have Indy friends accompany me to Denver to get in on the fun, this time I trekked alone. Friday, my friend Eric Lovett entertained me by taking me on a bike ride around downtown, to see King Tut at the art museum, stop by the CSU Pep Rally, and stop for lunch with my sister Allison, James, and friend Billy. The bikes were super fun and the best thing was that we rode on them for a few hours for only $5! Check out how cool this program is, http://denver.bcycle.com/. I think Indy needs to get one of these going on.

Saturday was the big Colorado State University vs. Colorado University game at Mile High Stadium in Denver. Last year when I was in town they won, so I thought I might've been CSU's lucky charm, unfortunately I was wrong and the game wasn't as good as we had hoped. It was a great day to be outside though! The best part of the trip was the time that my sister and I were able to spend together, just the two of us. We shopped for Baby T's room, went to a movie, ran a bunch of errands, and just hung out. Crazy to think that next time I see her (over thanksgiving) she will be thisclose to having my nephew and being a mommy! She's so great at making sure everyone is comfortable and taken care of so I know she will be the best Mom!

So there you have it...my weekend recap! Can't wait until I'm able to visit again in November! If you haven't been to Denver--put it on your next trip list. (and for those of you who think you can snow ski in the summer....it doesnt snow year round in Colorado, haha)
